dr Małgorzata Misiak

GosiaM
PhD Małgorzata Misiak obtained her MSc in Chemistry with specialisation in Biological Chemistry in 2010 at the University of Wrocław and her PhD in Chemistry in 2016 at the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research Polish Academy of Sciences. During her doctoral studies and after obtaining her PhD, she worked as a Research Assistant and then as a Research Engineer at the Wrocław Research Centre EIT+/Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development. Since 2020, PhD Misiak has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research and is a member of the Division of Biomedical Physicochemistry. PhD Malgorzata Misiak's research focuses on the relationship between the structure, morphology and internal architecture of lanthanide-doped nano/micromaterials and optical properties, including up-conversion and avalanche photon emission. PhD Misiak is also interested in the functionalisation of nanoparticles surface and their application in analyte detection.
