dr Magdalena Sobota received her BSc in Chemistry from the University of Gdańsk in 2015. For the duration of her studies she was awarded the 'Inno-AgroChemOŚ' scholarship for the best students from the EU fund. After that, she completed an internship at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (Czechia).
To continue her education, she moved to the University of Wrocław for her MSc studies in Chemistry. After the first year she was awarded the French Government scholarship BGF Master 2 to study in France and the President of Wrocław scholarship for students completing diplomas abroad. As a result, she completed two MSc in Chemistry, one from the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (Lyon, France) and the other from the University of Wrocław in 2018.
Her PhD thesis topic was the influence of oxygen-induced surface segregation of solutes in iron alloys on their anti-corrosion properties. She was awarded her PhD in Physics from the University of Wrocław in 2024.
Her scientific interests concern on materials chemistry and solid-state physics.
